Ptolemy Questions the Translators of the Septuagint
In the 3rd century BC six scholars from each of the 12 tribes of Israel were brought to Egypt to translate the Jewish Holy books into Greek. Upon arrival King Ptolemy II had a banquet in their honor and proceeded to ask them important questions that he had. This work is the dialog between Ptolemy II and the 72 translators of the Septuagint.
